Celebration of World Kindness Day

“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see...”

World Kindness Day is an international day that was formed in 1998, to promote kindness throughout the world and is observed annually on November 13 as part of the World Kindness Movement.

World Kindness Day 2022 theme is “Be Kind Whenever Possible.” This simple theme invokes a sense of responsibility on the individual to practice kindness and compassion in everyday life.

The purpose of World Kindness Day is “to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness, which binds us.” World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world.

GIS, katargam celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13 of the year 2022 , to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together. This understanding has the power to bridge the gap between nations. On this day, our young learners performed few activities enthusiastically. They wrote different and innovative ideas about how we can share kindness to birds, animals and human beings and shuffled it all in a decorated box. Randomly learners were asked to pick any chit from that box and were asked to read it in front of whole class and explained it.

Moreover, Learners wrote good Kindness quotes on papers and stuck it outside of the classrooms in school. Through these activities, the learners truly acknowledged kindness in the classroom, cultivate compassion and empathy for others and develop safe, caring and respectful school communities where students and staff thrive. Overall, It was a kind and memorable day.
