CULINARY ART COMPETITION

“Food is an important part of a balanced diet.” - Fran Lebowitz

Culinary Art is the art of cooking. It is about preparing, cooking as well as presenting food or meals in an effective and attractive manner.

To enhance the cooking skills, knowledge of food ingredients, good decision making skills and creativity in food making, Culinary Art Competition was organized on 07 December, 2021 at Gajera International School on the theme of “Balanced Diet.”




The competition was divided into three categories between different grades, where they had to make sandwich, salad and mock tail. More than hundred learners participated as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the young chefs to come forward and represent their dishes in front of the judges. The criteria of the judgment were presentation, tastiness, nutrition value, cleanliness and hygiene of the dish.


The learners came up with different food varieties which were adopted from other origins and represented them by giving different names with great fondness and zeal. They used green veggies, fruits, sprouts, herbs, spices and many more. The judges were fascinated by their innovative work. And they appreciated the participants individually.

The learners have learnt that healthy foods can be tasty and interesting if you prepare it well taking health into consideration.
