The main objective of the national organ donation day is to spread awareness among people and to recognize the selfless efforts made towards mankind, and reestablish our belief in humanity.
The first living organ donor in a successful transplant was Ronald Lee Herrick.

What is an organ?
An organ is a part of the body that performs a specific function: like your Heart, Lungs, Kidney, and Liver etc.
What is Organ Donation?
Organ Donation is the gift of an organ to a person with end stage organ disease and who needs a transplant.
What are the Organs that can be donated?
The organs that can be donated are:
Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Heart, Lung, Intestine.
Who can be a Donor?
Living Donor: Any person not less than 18 years of age, who voluntarily authorizes the removal of any of his organ and/or tissue, during his or her lifetime.

On this day Our Gajera International school Learners celebrated Organ donation competition through which educators inculcate the importance and value of each body organs and also motivated them to donate them to save the lives of others.
