Festivals inform, educate, bring people together, break the monotony of routine and give us a chance to re-energize our body, mind, and spirit. Of all the festivals, Ganesh Chaturthi is the most colorful.

Ganesh Chaturthi is, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi. It is a Hindu festival. It marks the birthday of the beloved elephant headed lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is known as god of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity. Lord Ganesha is known by 108 different names like Gajanana, Vinayaka, Vighnaharta among others. Ganesha is the younger son of lord Shiva and Parvati.

Gajera International School Preprimary section celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and joy. The day begins with Pooja & Aarti with the staff and cute little.
Learners dressed in Maharashtrian clothes at Eager Beaver. Learners are taught about the significance of the festival, followed by Ganesha story. Learners Create story on teaching the other Learners how Ganpatiji got his Elephant head, how Parvatiji created Ganeshji & how Lord Shiva beheaded Lord Ganesha with his trident. Goddess Parvati was bereaved on sudden death of Lord Ganesha so to console her Lord Shiva got the head of an elephant and attached it to the body of Lord Ganesha.

Lord Shiva infused life into Lord Ganesha and blessed him with strength and wisdom. They morally try to teach the learners that mother’s love can do wonders. Worksheets with Ganesha picture shall be given to Learners for coloring.

The day ends with Prasad distribution among the Learners.
