Guru Purnima Celebration
"Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru devo Maheshwara, Guru sakshat, param Bhrahma, tasmai shri guravay namah."
Guru or teacher has always been considered akin to a God in the Hindu culture. Guru Purnima is a festival which is dedicated to gurus. A guru not only teaches and gives us the knowledge but also shows the right path to lead our life.
He is the person who helps us to enlighten ourselves and guides to lead a prosperous life. Guru Purnima, also known as Vyasa Purnima, is observed and celebrated every year throughout India. According to the Hindu calendar, Guru Purnima is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha. Every year, we celebrate Guru Purnima to pay respect to all of the world's gurus or teachers and to express our gratitude towards them.
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, the learners of Gajera International School, Katargam expressed their deep gratitude and bowed down before the gurus, holding whose hands they have come out from the darkness of ignorance to an enlightened world of knowledge. The learners performed a skit depicting the significance of Gurus in one's life. The event concluded with a creative dance based on the ‘Guru mantra’ that was presented by the learners.

At the end, Principal Mrs. Sonia Budhiraja gave the vote of thanks and inspired the learners by saying - "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." Teachers impart the education and hence the role of the teacher is of paramount importance to the present and future of a learner.
