To paint the country with a patriotic color India celebrates this Independence Day with a theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which symbolizes the elixir of inspiration from independence fighters. Gajera International School, Katargam,Surat proudly celebrates our 76th year of Independence with zeal and zest.


On this day, August 15, 1947 India became independent, and the British colonial rule ended. On the night of August 15, 1947 the first Prime Minister of Independent India, Jawaharlal Nehru, said, “At the stroke of the midnight hour, India will awake to life and freedom when the world sleeps.” These words aptly captured the struggle and happiness of newly independent India as it finally managed to free itself from the clutches of British rule. The first Prime Minister hoisted the Indian national flag above the Lahori Gate of Red Fort in Delhi to mark the occasion. This act of celebration became a symbolic gesture and remains till today and will continue ahead.


On this day like every year, Gajera International School, Katargam celebrated the Independence Day to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among the young learners. Hon. Nitinbhai Gajera and Jatinbhai Gajera hoisted the flag with other respected invitees hoisted the flag followed by National Anthem . Dr. Vimal Rathi, a renowned dentist of Surat gave a motivation speech about ‘ No Smoking Campaign’ and dental health care. Dance performances and patriotic songs enthralled the audience.
“ A single drop of blood can make a huge difference.” Proving the lines true Gajera Trust had organized blood donation camp, an initiative for a noble cause. All over India “ Har Ghar Tiranga “ is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. To multiply the Joy of “ Har Ghar Tiranga “ Gajera Trust has celebrated Independence Day with various societies. The educator along with the learners of Gajera international School Katargam, Surat visited societies and hoisted our National Flag. As the country celebrates its 75th Independence day this year, “Har ghar Tiranga” was the main maxim of the day. Let’s join our hands together to promote this campaign and be a part of India’s progress ride..
