INDIAN NAVY DAY

Navy Day in India is celebrated on 4th December every year to recognize the achievements and role of the Indian Navy to the country. 4 December was chosen as on that day in 1971, during OPERATION TRIDENT, the Indian Navy sank four Pakistani vessels including PNS Khalibar, killing hundreds of Pakistani Navy personnel. To commemorate our soldiers in Navy GISK organised “Navy Day celebration in the assembly hall of the school.

After several months of empty classrooms, it was a delight today to celebrate Navy day in school for our young learners. Our aim for today was to normalize the school days, celebrations and to rejuvenate the spirit of learning together in a school. The day started with the prayer for our soldiers. Our young learners performed a role play by displaying the importance of Navy. Moreover, our learners shared the significance of this day by giving speech. Learners were gleaming with pride and hailed our Indian Navy for their selfless service and supreme sacrifice for the nation. Overall it was a great event.

It is the love for the nation and the people of the nation that inspires the Indian Navy to be such a strong and inspiring force. Happy Indian Navy Day!
