International Women’s Day
“Only a woman can almost die and give birth at the same time. Be proud to be a
woman. Happy Women’s Day!”

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. The day emphasizes on women's rights movement and brings attention to several issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. This day also highlights the accomplishments made by women across different fields. There is no doubt that women are making the world a better place with their infinite strength, willpower, and determination. Every day, with power enough to shatter the shackles of patriarchy, women across the globe are overcoming different hurdles and making their place evident in the society.

International Women's Day was celebrated in GISK to recognize the contribution and significance of the women. All the male educators performed drama highlighting the message of the prevalent evils such as infanticide and atrocities faced by women in this male dominated society. Woman faculty was honoured with badges, games were organised and selfie corner was raised. Leaving no stone unturned male faculty put forth all their efforts selflessly and with due respect. Expressing gratitude generosity, the vote of thanks was proposed by our respected Principal ma’am and all the women were encouraged to keep excelling consistently.

To conclude, the event ended with a happy note that a woman is an epitome of beauty, wisdom and care. She has climbed the mountains and dived into the ocean; she has matched the steps with every man in the world. Wishing all the women a very special International Women’s Day.
