KISAN DIWAS OR NATIONAL FARMER’S DAY
Kisan Diwas or National Farmer’s Day is celebrated on 23rd December across the nation to commemorate birth anniversary of 5th prime minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh. In addition, the day is celebrated to honor the contribution of Indian farmers and glorify their importance in our country. Farmers are the backbone of our society who provide us all the food that we eat. Every person needs proper food for the living.

On this auspicious day the GISK organized a talk show with Ashwinbhai Ramjibhai Patel.
He discussed lots of important things regarding the farming and farmers. He also discussed about the new technology which can be helpful for the farmers to overcome many problems. GIS had also organized a program in which the learners performed a dance in which they depicted the adverse conditions of farmers, how they await for rain during monsoon and if there is any shortage of rain how they suffer and what wrong steps they take in their life was well explained by them.The learners also performed a skit in which they displayed the difference in thoughts of farmers and their children regarding their fields. They also showed the consequences caused by loss of cultivating land and problems we would face in future.
