Poem Recitation Competition

“Success is a sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out”

The learners at Gajera International School Katargam, Surat had ‘Poem Recitation’ competition for grades 1-3. The occasion was “World Nature Conservation Day”. It was an event filled with joy, excitement and learners completely soaked in a competitive spirit.

No competition is complete without the best shot given by our learners. These competitions give our learners a platform to showcase their skills and talents.

Poem recitation was one event which brought out the inert skills of our learners. They were judged on their presentation, confidence, verbal clarity and choice of vocabulary used.

Not to forget, the learners recited the poems that were wholeheartedly written by them. They had to prepare the poem based on the theme of “World Nature Conservation Day”. It was a wonderful sight to behold, when learners confidently recited their poem with brilliant gestures, throw of voice and absolute brilliance.

A spirit of competition teaches our learners the importance of taking a healthy risk instead of only doing activities that they are comfortable with. Taking risks such as participating in a new competition or enrolling yourself for new activities helps build the self-confidence of our learners.
