WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence of life on planet earth. Earth is a home for different living species and we all are dependent on the environment for food, air, water, and other needs. Therefore, it is important for every individual to save and protect our environment.

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to remind people about the importance of nature. It is celebrated across the globe to tell people that nature should not be taken for granted and must be respected for its values.

Learners of grade 1 to 4 celebrated this day by planting saplings in their houses. They made some beautiful videos about how to plant a sapling, what are the advantages of growing more trees and plants. Our students have explained about the advantages of growing more plants at home.

Our learners of grade 5 to 8 celebrated this occasion by creating beautiful slogans praising our environment. They learnt the importance of environment, ways to save our environment and even why we need to save our environment.

An Eco-Talk was organized by Grade- 9 to 12 students, where discussion on conservation of nature was done as to how in this pandemic, used masks can be disposed of or its use in the making of infrastructure. They also discussed how Los Angeles is working on prevention of water loss due to evaporation and also preventing mixing of harsh chemicals and blooming of algal growth on water reservoir.

As we are aware, that our mother earth is getting degraded day-by-day because of over-exploitation of resources and pollution. To live safely and without fear, it our moral duty that we should come forward and protect our nature from getting deteriorated. The earth has been survived for many years, and it will continue to do so; only mankind is at risk, so we have to start thinking about whom to give importance – to our existence or to our greed?

So, “LET’S NURTURE THE NATURE SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A BETTER FUTURE.”
