Yoga – A Holistic Way to Fitness and Spirituality

I strongly believe that the practice of yoga strengthens the body and mind as well as creates the feeling of well being. I love practising yoga and would like to recommend others as it regularizes the functioning of all body organs. It prevents the body and mind from being disturbed by adverse situations and unhealthy lifestyle. It helps in maintaining the proper health, knowledge and inner peace. I feel that it is like a practical philosophy which develops self-discipline and self awareness within us through regular practice.
I would certainly state that Yoga is very safe, easy and healthy way to get fit whole life without any problems. It just needs regular practice in right way of body movements and breathing. It regularizes the connection between three components of our body such as body, mind and soul. Regular practice of the yoga in the morning provides outer and inner relief by keeping away from the countless sickness at the physical and mental level. Practice of postures or asanas sharpens the human mind, improves intelligence and helps in high level of attentiveness. The feeling of well being creates helping nature and thus enhances the social life.

I consider Yoga as miracle which has been gifted to the human fraternity by the God. It reduces stress, controls negative thoughts, improves mental clarity, enhances self-understanding, and connects to the nature and many more. The holistic effect that is attained through yoga enables practitioners to not only improve their physical strength and flexibility, but also their emotions, mentality and concentration.
According to my opinion, Yoga is deeply rooted in spirituality and many of the postures have deeper objectives that go beyond simple stretching and strengthening of muscles. Yoga and spirituality are profoundly associated. Spiritual benefits of yoga are the most fulfilling and long lasting. Having once achieved the true spirit of Yoga, one can start to know oneself at leisure. The greatest part of self discovery and self introspection comes only through the practice of Yoga. Being established in the self, our inner calmness spreads outward, and makes us a more responsible human being full of caring, sharing and love.
